Whilst we work on our Facebook app, you can still sell your products on your Facebook page using the simple Static HTML App
You can see an example on our own Facebook page store, right here.
Head over to the Static HTML App page, and click on "Add Static HTML to a Page".
Then choose which of your Facebook pages you would like to display your Shoprocket products on:
You'll now be guided through the setup of this app:
The following page will explain how the HTML app works, you simply paste in your custom HTML code, and it will be displayed in a tab to your Facebook page visitors.
Here you will find two code snippets. Copy the first one, and then paste it into your HTML app code area.
Shoprocket code snippet:
Now you're ready to copy the second code snippet into your app, to display your products. Paste this code above the first code snippet in your HTML app.
Now click "Save & Publish" in your HTML app editor, and you're done!
I can see warnings about relative URLs in my app?
This is normal so just ignore that, those URLs will be replaced by Shoprocket when the tab is loaded.
Now you can rename the tab in your Facebook page, by default it is "welcome" - you can also customise the look and feel of your store with some simple CSS, however this requires HTML/CSS technical skills.
That's it! You're ready to start taking order directly from your Facebook page, they will appear in your Shoprocket dashboard just like any other order, and payment is taken in the same way, by the payment gateway you chose when creating your Shoprocket account.
